Oh, great: I’ve got my exercise mat and all the other junk that I need for my yoga lesson - and now the instructor has canceled the session! (by Ed Yourdon)

Should I?

I am trying to carry less stuff when I travel.

However, this post last post with the yoga zone in SanFran Airport made me think…

Should I carry a mat when traveling?  To do some yoga when stranded in long connections in airport lounges between flights?

For some strange reason I can’t reply answering you back so:

Thanks Whollyyoga, Crazylovewords, 13isglad and Yogannina for your answers.

Whollyyoga and Crazylovewords: I look into yoga travel mats. Light and less volume.

13isglad: downward dog by itself does wonders but I confess I was thinking of the mat because of shirshasana…

Yogannina: In the airport lounges I fly through normally no such luck. I was thinking in the lines of “wherever I lay my mat is my ashram”. But it would be awesome and excellent if airport lounges had yoga studios…

I assumed yoga mats to be a western invention but after this photo maybe I was wrong…
